People

A sport as unique as powered paragliding could not exist without the generosity of its participants. The four people below deserve a special call-out for their role in introducing me to the sport and making sure I had a needed boost to keep going during hard transitions. Not everyone below has a website to link to, but all deserve recognition. We've since met dozens of local flyers, and they are some of the most enthusiastic, helpful people you'll ever know.

Craig Brecken

If it weren`t for Craig, I`d probably have been grounded years ago. Shortly after I started flying, I found that my J-bars were bending for no apparent reason. Craig (he barely knew me) invited me over to his house and rebuilt my J-bars. Craig`s expertise has re-launched more grounded pilots than can probably be counted.

Bruce Brown

I was fortunate enough to be able to train with Bruce in Perrysburg, OH before his move to Wisconsin. You can find Bruce`s webpage here. I've heard rumor that the old paramotoring field where I first took flight is being donated to the city of Perrysburg to be used as walking trails and athletic fields. I`ll look forward to visiting again!

Mark Deseck

As mentioned on the About Page, Mark owns and maintains Ragwing Field, SE Michigan's oldest (and still best) dedicated paramotoring field. Mark's a wealth of information and a really great flyer. It's always fun to hear the sound of a motor across the fields and pretty soon you realize that Mark's coming over for a visit - by air.

Kevin Woodward

Kevin was the first flyer to welcome me back to Michigan to take flight with him at the Coldwater airport after my training with Bruce. More recently, Kevin hosted a bunch of us at the Coldwater airport for a Paramotor demo day open to the public. You'll be able to read about that on the Events Page soon. Kevin is the proprietor of Cliff and Sons Heating and Cooling. Check him out if you're anywhere near Quincy/Coldwater.
